I have found that it is when my heart aches that it longs for poetry, for who is in need of understanding more than the soul who is enveloped in anguish. In finding the words to encapsulate volatile experiences within tumultuous times of my life, I have found a place for my pain to rest. It is my hope that in immortalising the whispers of my existence through uncompromising wordcraft, the hurting parts of your spirit may be recognised, embraced and understood, and your pain may carve out a crevice to curl up inside the letters and take a moment to rest as mine has.

“When I simmer over why I write poetry, it always boils down to having the pleasure and perspective to be able to put into words what I once could not. When one has a storm swirling around them it can be intensely difficult to pick apart the forces that have conjured up the chaos. A lot of my original poetry centres around loss: the loss of innocence; the loss of control; parting with loved ones or your ideas around who you thought your loved ones were. I take the most heartbreaking parts of my existence and transform them into something I cherish - not the subject, not the experience, but the power to craft art with substance and meaning that truly connects with people who once too may not have found the words within them to describe that which consumes them.”
